Maris Racal set the record straight about a viral photo of herself and onscreen partner Anthony Jennings wearing the same pair of rubber shoes, as she pointed out that it was just a coincidence.
Dubbed as “MaThon,” the love team made rounds on social media after they were seen wearing the same brand and style of shoes during a filming schedule in Italy last September.

“Nagkataon lang talaga na same kami ng shoes. Natawa na lang ako sa nangyari, kasi nagkataon lang talaga na ’yun ang suot naming shoes (It just so happened that we have the same shoes. I found it to be funny because it was a coincidence that we wore them on the same day),” she said.

The actress-singer also stressed that she owned the particular shoes for quite some time.

Racal and Jennings’ tandem gained popularity after they starred as Irene and Snoop in the series “Can’t Buy Me Love.” They are set to star in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “And The Breadwinner Is…” and an untitled project with director Jason Paul Laxamana.
The love team is also cast in the upcoming drama “Incognito” which also stars Richard Gutierrez, Daniel Padilla, Kaila Estrada, and Ian Veneracion.
