Leni Robredo received praises from celebrities including Gary Valenciano, Karen Davila, Jim Paredes and Cherry Pie Picache after the former vice president braved the floods caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine to extend help to the victims.
In the photos shared by netizen Egine Oquindo Baral and re-posted on Robredo’s Instagram page on Thursday, Oct. 24, Robredo and several other companions were deep in a waist-high flood in Naga City while holding on to a rubber boat containing drinking water and other goods.

Robredo’s relief operation was initiated by Angat Buhay, the non-governmental organization she established. The NGO, in partnership with another NGO Kaya Natin! Movement, has already raised P12,438,878.55 monetary donation and P4,958,499.08-worth of in-kind donations as of Friday morning, Oct. 25.
